YouTube, Quality vs. File Size

Over the last few weeks I have been getting board with watching Fortza Motorsport 2 drive it self around and around the track to make the money I need to finish the game, so I have been looking to YouTube to keep me entertained. On more than one occasion I have forgotten I am not at my house, and I do not have my normal download limit and have consequently exceeded the allowance and been Shaped.
I am not one to talk out against the most fantastic company in the world, Apple, in fact I generally try to stay away from conversations that will end up with Apple being the losing party, and this doesn't happen often by the way, but in this case I must say that they could do better on a few points. I own one of apples most well known devices, the iPad, and I have been using this for my YouTube needs, but the pre-installed YouTube app just doesn't have the same comprehensiveness as the web site. For instance, on the YouTube web site you have the option of viewing videos at a desired quality, where as on the iPad you automatically get 720p or the highest quality the video is in, I blame this mainly for my Internet usage.
I began watching YouTube on my computer instead so I could pick the quality and that made wonder just how my I was using per minute of YouTube, after some Googleing it was clear that no one really knew how much it was per minute, so I decided to figure it out my self.
Working on the basis that when you upload a video to YouTube it converts it into .flv video and then converts down from what ever quality it was uploaded as.
e.g. I upload a .mp4 video to YouTube at 1080p, Youtube then converts it to .flv at 1080p, then 720p, then 480p, then 360p and finally 240p.
So in theory it doesn't matter if I'm in Turky and I upload a .avi at 1080p that is 2 minutes long, and someone else in the US uploads a .mkv at 1080p that is 1 minute long, the file size per minute is exactly the same.
I have rambled on for far to long so here it is,

1 minute at 240p = 3.4mb
1 minute at 360p = 6.4mb
1 minute at 480p = 9.3mb
1 minute at 720p = 19.7mb
1 minute at 1080p = 36.9mb

So if I watch 1 hour of 1080p video on YouTube I will use 2.1gb of downloads! Thats where my Internet allowance has been going!
The only this that may chuck in a veritable is sound, but even then is is converted to the same quality across the board and would only change the results by 200kbs or so per minute.

Work experience . . . . . with Macs!

I think I must have the best work experience ever! 3 and a half hours into my first day of work experience they let me take control of the Mac Pro in there office at Merdoch, first of all it was a bit boring just intalling software like Final Cut Pro and CS5, but then they I saw where the spare screens where kept! 8 minutes later they had a dual screen computer, the new screen is portrait! Which is great for web pages and Photoshop files! And I have 4 more days of this bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call of Duty: Black Ops Part 3. Nuketown RC-XD Secret track

Another Black Ops post I know, but I spent $110 on it and 43 hours of my life playing it so I'm going to to make it last! I have got to level 33 online and while playing my favorite map, Nuketown, I noticed that there is a small hole in the fence, to small to crawl through, but big enough to drive a RC-XD through. I got a two kill streak using the Hard Line perk, and engaged the RC-XD and drove it through the hole. Here is what happens.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Part 2. SMG Vs. Assault Rifle

It is a common misconception that the Assault Rifles in Black Ops is more powerful than the SMGs, THIS IS NOT TRUE! SMGs are acutely more powerful than Assault Rifles, OK they have a smaller clip, but this can be fixed by buying the bigger clip attachment, and they do take longer to re-load but you can fix that with Slight of Hand. The SMGs often come with bad cross hair, this is where you have to chose between fast reloads or the ability to have two attachments at the same time, if you go for two attachments I would also get a better cross hair to improve longer distance shooting. I would also use Hardline just because it makes sense. I would also back this up with a RPG of your choice, and Semtex grenades and a flash bag of some kind, and defiantly the Claymore because it is the best special to have.
I have to say I thought that the Assault Rifle would be the best type of gun to use, but I released that I was wrong, the SMGs are with out doubt the best guns for almost any map! I give the SMGs

Call of Duty: Black Ops Part 1

Warning! Warning! Major Black Ops Error!

On the 6th level, "The Defector", at the end you have to run to a boat in a sertain time to escape alive, when I was playing it for the first time I was to far away from the boat to survive and so I died. Then I resporned with only 10 seconds on the clock and at the same spot I was when I died the first time, and again I couldn't make it back to the boat in time, after around the 15th go I relised that it was nion impossible to make it back in the time given. It was at this moment I relised that I would have to restart the in-tire level to be able to replay this one key part and escape alive! This angered me greatly and I rage quite my Xbox. I can only hope that this potentially infuriating glitch can be fixed with a patch released soon!

Dead Ops Arcade

Black Ops Arcade is the arcade style shoot 'em up that can be accessed via the computer once you brake free of the torture chair in the menu. Go to the computer, press and hold the "X" button and then type "DOA" then enter. After doing this you will receive 2 Xbox awards, from there it is self explanatory and it is quite fun. The big trick is getting out of the torture chair, see if you can do it! I give this easter egg

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Desert Eagle

Call of Duty is with out doubt one of the best gaming franchises of all time, it has sold over 55 million units world wide! To make each game more interesting and difficult there are special items that are hard to find, in Modern Warfare 1 the hardest gun to find is the Desert Eagle, which I am happy to say I have found! To find the limited edition Desert Eagle is single-player you must go to the Crew Expendable mission and get into the second cargo hold, there if you run added of the NPC you will be attacked by a terrorist from behind a shipping container, after killing him he will drop the rare gun and around 21 rounds depending how many rounds he has fired at you. You can also find the Desert Eagle in the next two areas but it is more random and you have to search around much more to find it. This gun is extremely powerful, but quite inaccurate, it also takes a considerable amount of time to reload, for a hand gun. I would prefer to have this brute of a gun than the silenced USP .45. I give this gun
